American art has never been so liberally supported by government as it was during the critical years between 1933 and 1943. ReadyMade asks five artists to reimagine the populist poster art of the first Great Depression.
With the intention to usher in a new era of social action art, ReadyMade asked illustrators and designers Nick Dewar, Christopher Silas Neal, Christoph Niemann, Open, and Mike Perry to conceive and draw out the iconic messages of our day.

I was so geeked about that article too. I love Neal's "Eat Local, Buy Local, Grow Local" poster so much, it's just gorgeous.
Great posters! I always find it amazing when i look at posters from 50 or 60 years ago that are trying to educate people about the same things we are still talking about today - like 'Simplicity is the key to successful living' and 'Eat local, buy local, grow local' - times really haven't changed that much at all!
