Orla Kiely for Target.

Yes, I know I am late to posting about this and you've probably already seen these if you are a textile/pattern junkie like myself, but in the event that you haven't yet seen them yet, I give you the Orla Kiely for Target collection! I've been meaning to post about this for sometime now and I kept forgetting, but I have always been a huge fan of Orla Kiely's geometric shapes, bold colors and girly patterns. There is dinner and servingware, storage boxes, closet organization, table and kitchen linens and even an apron, which I am pretty positive I need.

The line is available now at Target (the collection released on February 15) but hurry it will go fast. I am not sure if they are releasing things on different dates, or if it was all released at once and just sold out insanely quick, because it isn't all available online and I could not find any of the linens at Target when I was there over the weekend. Let me know if you know!

H&M Home Collection!

OK DROOL!!! So the exciting news all over the web, since it's premiere Thursday night in Germany, is that H&M will launch a home collection in early 2009!!! The first collection will be available from February 2009 in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Too bad no USA or Canada, but hopefully that will be coming soon after, I can't wait! The four collections are named: Youthful, Design, Classic, and Nature.

CONCEPT: A value for money, great quality range of home textiles heavily influenced by fashion

COLOURS: From neutrals and monochrome through to nautical blues and reds and bright neons

FABRICS: cottons, linens, viscose-cotton mixes, organic cotton

KEY PIECES: Approximately 35 different cushion cover designs and 15 bed linen sets

PRICES: €4.90 to €14.90 for cushion covers, €14.90 to €49.90 for bed sets and €9.90 to €14.90 for shower towels

DenHaus - Designer Dog Crate Furniture

DenHaus are designer pet crates that blend nicely into your own decor and can double as side tables. Our Derby is far too spoiled to be in a crate, besides when she is here at the studio with us sleeping in an actual dog bed, she can usually be found on the couch or the bed at home. Saw this over at Branch and it made me smile - a customizable family pillow. So cute. If I made one for our family, the pets would out number the humans in our household.

For LP Nuts: The Record Cabinet

Throw away those old milk crates and get ready for a high end designer solution for those of us that not only collect vinyl records but have come to prefer them. Jen Levin Atocha is one of these people, and because she couldn't find a really nice storage solution, she designed and built her one. These record cabinets allow you to super safely store and showcase your LP's by cover and not just by the spine.

These Record Cabinets are pricey but each one is custom built, made of oak, walnut, bamboo or maple and can come in a number of different configurations that will accommodate LP's, singles, CD's, DVD's or components.

Wasara - Japanese inspired disposable paper products

Pantone Nesting Dolls

These have been floating around the internet for a few months now, and I still can't seem to find them for sale, so they must just be a concept project, but, designer Yaroslav Rassadin re-imagined a 120 year old traditional handicraft from Russia, the matryoshka.

The Matryoshka, or Russian nesting dolls, date back to 1890. Traditionally hand painted with ornate detailing and a dynamic range of colors, Rassadin’s take on the classic Russian nesting dolls was inspired by a combination of the “Pantone matching system and UFO minimalistic styling.” His work has been described as “emotional, minimalistic and technological.”
