being a Buffalo Native, and bills fan, I will never own this..
Not a bad print tho..
but who is the target audience...The giants that won by us missing a 47 yard field goal on grass?
good luck on your sale...
We knew that most Bills' fans wouldn't want to hang this one. This was a devastating moment in both Buffalo Bills and sports history. The negative feelings attached to this tragic moment from the Bill's past, won't appeal to everyone. Additionally, it should be noted that this print wasn't created for a specific "target audience" or with sales in mind. We were asked, as artists, to depict a memorable moment in sport's history for the gallery show, and that is what we did. Sure, it definitely would have been very easy to depict a proud and positive moment in sports history, and we knew most folks would be focused on the "thrill of victory", but we wanted to focus on the "agony of defeat". Being huge fans of both the Buffalo Bill's and the City of Buffalo, we felt that this moment, more than so many others, speaks loudly about this city's ability to love and support their teams and city through it all, good times and bad. The Bills have some of the most diehard fans in the league, even after moments like "Wide Right". This is just one of the many reasons we love this city and it's sports fans. Also, it should be mentioned that this poster was created by a season ticket holder of the Bills.
Thank you very much for taking the time to look and for your compliment and F the NY Giants!
