We Buy Your Kids - "Clementine" Video.
I don't usually watch YouTube videos, because usually I am let down or just far too antsy to take a few minutes to sit still and watch something, but this beauty is worth watching. We Buy Your Kids is Sydney based design duo Sonny Day and Biddy Maroney, who do all sorts of lovely graphic design and illustration. One of their latest projects is this video for fellow Aussie Megan Washington, the song and this video are just both tooth painfully sweet and adorable. Watch it.
Oh and here is a Quicktime of it which looks even better than the YouTube video

Italia Modern Design Book.
Saw this amazing book over at Grain Edit and I want it!!! So many great designs from the 1950s-1970s and includes many of my favorites like Bruno Munari, Giovanni Pintori, Max Huber, Enzo Mari, Pino Tovaglia, Albe Steiner etc. It also includes a fair amount of work from Olivetti and Pirelli.
Anyone know where to find it?

Workdress - A must have!
Oh, how I NEED this work dress!! I always dread print days at the studio since I have to dress like a schlep, which I HATE!! But to be able to have lots of pockets, something that can get a little dirty, all while looking CUTE, imagine the possibilities!!
This dress is a wonderful hybrid between an apron and a tool belt! The designer, Caroline Woolard, will only exchange the dress for local goods and services, so I need to come up with a good offer, and fast!
(If you absolutely cannot barter, you can donate $200 in U.S. dollars and take a dress.)

Santa came early to Hero
Our great friend (and super talented illustrator) Thomas Rooney, from Pavlov's Togs, stopped by yesterday bearing gifts.
Check out these goodies he gave me...
Sophocles the Hyena by Jim Moran and illustrated by Roger Duvoisin, a wonderfully adorable book from the 60's with the most beautiful illustrations filled with some super rad textures, that I am just in love with.
I started scanning all my favorite illustrations from the book, but there were too many to choose just a few, so check out this lovely...
And check out this amazing gem of a catalog for the Tandy Leather Company, with key pages pre-marked for us (Tom sure has great taste).
He also brought me a lovely Buffalo scarf that he made and Mark got a gift card to Burger King, what every great fast food junkie needs!! If you are in the Buffalo area definitely check out Tom's store on Elmwood and if not, check out his amazing webstore (yup Hero created the Pavlov's Tog site). Thanks again Tom!!!
