Kidrobot 15 - Kidreaper Figure
Creatures in My Head creator, Andrew Bell, kills it with his sinister aesthetic on the 15th edition of our iconic Kidrobot figure, KidReaper.
Printed with a GID skeleton, this 7-incher delivers death swathed in a fabric cloak with flexi wire trim and a swift swipe of his bloodstained scythe.
Stay alive long enough to find the chase.

Because you still need to text in the wintertime.
A collection of fingerless gloves - I am on the hunt so I can still use the iPhone in the cold. Yes it's true I plan my fashion choices around my gadgets. I'm leaning towards the red cashmere gloves pictured last.

iPhone and iPod Touch wallpapers

Poolga features a fabulous collection of iPhone and iPod Touch wallpapers! I will be going there often!
Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii - need your suggestions!
So even though we weren't going to get each other birthday gifts this year, since we're getting each other a huge nice new flatscreen TV for Christmas - Mark decided to ignore that and surprise me with an early birthday present last night. A Wii!! And he surprised me by hiding it in the pantry, so I would find it when I put away the groceries last night after a late night and much needed grocery shopping trip. (awwwwww)
Now that we have it, I need to know what games we NEED?? I am not much of a "gamer" per se, but I love games like "LocoRoco" for the PSP and "Me and My Katamari", and Mark got me "Cooking Mama" last night with the console cuz it's just so stinken adorable and silly. So yeh, I like ridulous games that won't frustrate me and cause me to lose interest.
So come on, post em in the comments section, what games are "must haves" for the Wii???

More new Hero work - Logo redesign for Anna Grace
This summer we created a logo redesign for Anna Grace, a Women's Boutique here in Buffalo. Anna Grace is a quaint and beautiful store in the heart of the Elmwood village that carries women's clothing and accessories for just about every woman!! You can get a great high end party dress or a pair of jeans and a handbag.
They had a very simple typed out scripty logo before, but were looking for something a bit more unique and updated, but not too edgy or youthful modern either since their customer base is so diverse. We also created a simple blog in lieu of a website, so they can keep customers up to date with new products, check that out here.

From Yr House to Arhaus - Ugly Winners - One Night Art Show
Part of the tenacity of the Buffalo arts scene is the ability of local artists to pull together to produce and exhibit work despite somewhat limited resources and outlets. Unusual venues for art shows such as the recent one evening show at the 10th street community garden show that artists have the will and creative means to get their work shown to new audiences and attract art patrons to off-the-beaten-path exhibition spaces.
Ugly Winners is another one night art show featuring new work by artists associated with Buffalo's skateboarding, DIY, and indie music subcultures. It's a chance for oft marginalized emerging artists to come together and share their work in the spirit of the now modestly famous Beautiful Losers art movement of skateboarding artists, graffiti artists, crafters, and photographers.
The opening (and closing) reception is Saturday, October 11, from 8pm-11pm at Arhaus, an apartment space located at 61 Elmwood Ave, just south of Allen St.
Work will be featured by Chris Fritton, JP Gillespie, BREZO, Bobby Griffiths, Joshua Lee Castle, Amy Hartman, Brendan Casey, Kit Bowman, Kyla Kegler, Beth Manos, Mark Brickey (that's us), Jay Stankiewicz and more!

Sorapot
As long as we are talking about tea - I do need a good tea pot! I recall seeing these a while back, but my new found obsession has of course reminded me of these - the Sorapot. A very cool take on an old standard, the Sorapot mixes stainless steel, glass and a wonderful architectural shape that articulates the ritual of tea making in a thoroughly modern way. Makes enough for about two cups of tea and will set you back about $250. I myself like to think of it more as a functioning sculptural piece for your kitchen.

Te O' Tea
I have been obsessed with tea these past couple of weeks with the cool weather, so of course I have been looking for great designer tea pots, cups, etc. I came across this adorable tea strainer - Alessi Te O' Tea Strainer Red - things can get messy when you pull out that tea bag, why not have your little friend hold it for you?
